Dear members of the Blackfriars OSHC Community
Earlier this afternoon a letter was sent to the entire Blackfriars community from Principal, Mr Simon Cobiac, with the latest information and precautions surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus). This letter is available in the Newsroom on the Blackfriars website.
Following is some information specific to OSHC to accompany this earlier
advice.
- OSHC routines will be
adjusted to allow for more time spent outside (weather permitting).
- We will be actively
mentoring students maintaining a reasonable distance between them in their
play. This will be aided by no ball
games including football, soccer, cricket, handball, basketball, etc.
- Group activities will be
staggered to minimise the number of students in close proximity at any given time
and designated play areas will be assigned.
- Sign-out registers will be
located outside Frassati Hall. Parents /
caregivers are asked not to enter the Hall until further notice.
- Please use hand sanitiser
provided before using pens at the sign out register.
- Please refer to the OSHC
Hygiene Practises letter distributed last week for the best advice on
maintaining good personal hygiene
- As of Monday 23 March, and
until further notice, Blackfriars will not operate the before school and after
school OSHC bus service. Rosary and St
Dominic’s families are asked to make alternative transport arrangements from
next week in order to attend OSHC at Blackfriars.
- Please note that Vacation
Care will not be offered in the April school holiday period.
- In the event of a school
closure at Blackfriars, all OSHC programs will cease operations until further
notice.
As per the main letter sent today, if you have any questions, or are
directly affected by COVID-19, please contact me:
Please stay informed with updates via SEQTA, the school website and our
social media channels.
Yours sincerely
Rita Quaini
OSHC Director
